- Payment information processed securely via Razorpay. SAFEMARK does not store your card or bank details.
- QR scan data: timestamp, approximate location, and device type of scans made on your vehicle QR code.
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent, and features used on our website and dashboard.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your SAFEMARK account and vehicle profile.
- To enable masked calling — your phone number is never revealed to the scanner.
- To send you scan alerts, emergency notifications, and account-related communications.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To verify vendor identity and manage vendor accounts.
- To improve our services and fix bugs based on anonymized usage data.
3. Phone Number Privacy
- Your real phone number is NEVER shared with anyone who scans your QR code.
- All calls are routed through our secure masked calling infrastructure.
- Scan logs show only that a scan occurred — not who scanned or from which number.
- You can block any scanner from contacting you again from your dashboard.
4. Data Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party — ever.
- We share minimal data with service providers: Razorpay for payments, and cloud providers for hosting.
- We may share data with law enforcement if legally required by a valid court order.
- Aggregated and anonymized data may be used for research and product improvement.
5. Data Security
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Phone numbers are stored in hashed form and never in plain text.
- We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing.
- In case of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by law.
6. Your Rights
- Right to access: You can request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: You can update your personal information from your dashboard anytime.
- Right to deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Right to portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format.

- Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
- After account deletion, we retain minimal data for 90 days for legal compliance, then permanently delete it.
- Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.
- Scan logs are retained for 12 months and then automatically deleted.
